Elsewhere: Articles (May 2020 – )

Bored? My content not interesting enough for you 🙂 ? This is where I post links to stuff other people have written, that I enjoyed or that I found thought-provoking (or – ideally – both). You might need a subscription to read some of these… I add new stuff to the top of this post as I find it, so it’s in reverse chronological order.

10-4: How to Reopen the Economy by Exploiting the Coronavirus’s Weak Spot
(New York Times.) The articles proposes how countries can open up their economy faster. “People can work in two-week cycles, on the job for four days then, by the time they might become infectious, 10 days at home in lockdown.” It’s an interesting theory, and not a bad idea at all. Must say though, I didn’t realise that people cannot infect other people in the first 3 days of getting infected themseleves. I need to do some more research on that.
